When I was a little girl, Beauty and the Beast was the fairytale that stayed with me. Not because of the ballroom or the magic spell, but because of how it made me feel — that longing for belonging, for adventure, for a place where being different wasn’t a flaw but a gift.
Now, every time I walk through Colmar’s flower-draped streets or stand inside the halls of Chambord, I get that same shiver I felt as a child. Only this time, it’s real — the fireworks bursting above me, the wine glass in my hand, the laughter of women around me who feel like lifelong friends by the end of dinner.
That’s why I created this journey. Because I believe travel isn’t just about seeing places — it’s about feeling something you’ve carried in your heart for years come alive before your eyes. It’s about that moment in the château ballroom where you realize: this isn’t just a story I loved once — this is my life now.
This tour is for the dreamers who always felt a little out of place, for the women who crave connection as much as they crave beauty, for the part of you that still longs for magic and wants to believe again.
I designed it the way I would write a novel: each chapter filled with detail, each scene a chance for transformation, each pause a place to breathe and remember who you are. Because you don’t just visit this story — you belong in it.
And if your heart is tugging right now, I want you to know: that’s the beginning of your next chapter. I would be so honored to walk it beside you.
With warmth (and a full wine glass),
Founder, Lumina Travel Co.
Founder of Lumina Travel Co., lifelong lover of stories, and your guide for this journey through the misty magic of Scotland.
I created Lumina for women like me: thoughtful, introverted, and wildly curious. I was the kid who read under the covers by flashlight, the college student who found home in bookstores abroad, and the adult who realized that travel could feel as comforting and transformative as a really good novel.
This trip isn’t about rushing. It’s not about crowded tours or trendy checklists. It’s about stepping into a place slowly, with intention, and letting it shift something in you. It’s about connection—to the land, to the stories, to yourself, and to a group of kind-hearted women who get it.
As your host, I’ll be there to greet you when you arrive, guide you through the narrative of each day, and hold space for quiet reflection, spontaneous joy, and all the little in-between moments that make travel meaningful.
You don’t need to be an extrovert.
You don’t need to know anyone else coming.
You just need to show up—with an open heart, and maybe a good scarf.
Let’s write something unforgettable together.
welcome
